On the 29th of May 2010,
the creators of Transmission present:

a new era in dance music…

For fourteen years the Transmission parties have been Australia’s leading hard dance events. With the final edition wrapping up in May last year, Transmission said farewell to all lovers of dance music.

Almost a year since that final party, the Transmission team decided to return in the ultimate form of existence in dance: the Magic City.

Magic City is a treasure full of musical gems from faraway places that house a unique celebration of all types of dance music with a harder edge. Only the world’s biggest acts in hard dance music and the best of the local scene have been able to gain entry into the Magic City. They will be the heroes of the night and by unleashing their combined forces, they will propel you into a new dimension of dance music the world has never seen before.

Magic City: unleash the dragon, will be held at one of Australia’s most unique indoor venues for a dance party: the Sydney Olympic Sports Centre. Tickets will be on sale from the 22nd February, available through ticketdirect.com.au.

$110. Wasn't much more for defqon with a fuckloads better line-up. Talk about a fuckin rip-off. They charged 80+ for their "last party eva" with 2 Internationals plus Project 1. They would have made so much money off their last party and now they want to charge 110? HTID had more Internationals and tix were 60. Its no different to 3styles saying "Hey this is our last party ever, were getting out of the game.",  Then starting up next week as 4Styles. The thing is all the lil lemmings will pay it too. No integrity in this business.

I dont understand why more ppl arnt pissed off. The video trailor for this party was shot in Byron after Defqon last yr so this name change has been in the plans since not long after their last party.

You can wrap a brick up in pretty paper and string but at the end of the day when the present is opened you still have a brick. No original thought process involved here, ffs half of their parties were called Magic City something or other anyways.... pfft

Its pretty dam sick.
Zany, Donkey Rollers, Noise Controllers, Kamui, The Pitcher, Kamui, DV8 , Jowan are well worth the admission price.....and its great to see so many Australian's getting amongst it.

i take it you didnt go to HTID? tickets were $85.00 + BF and the event was nothing to Jump up and down about.. disappointing really..
sure id much rather not have to pay $110 to go to magic city.. but the $110 keeps me positive that this event will be mind blowing!
look at the trailer alone! it may be a little corny.. but atleast its not a mix of footage from previous events..
